La Conner Guitar Festival Proudly Presents

Jack Dwyer

Northwest songwriter and guitarist Jack Dwyer has gained a reputation as one of the region’s most unique and multi-talented purveyors of American roots music. A skilled mandolinist, bluegrass flatpicker, country rocker, banjo player, jazz guitarist and singer, Jack leaves a lot of gear at home when he sets out for another ‘guy with guitar’ tour. Yet, traveling light seems to suit him just fine and the simplicity of a solo performance only highlights his wide range of talents: Jack’s songs flow effortlessly from one genre to another, through many characters and moods, and his voice ranges from a low croon to a lonesome holler. His guitar playing alone could entertain audiences but he always manages not to overshadow his carefully crafted songs. Jack’s latest recording is an album of acoustic roots blues featuring original and classic finger picking and slide guitar songs, Dinner In Tennessee (2023).
