Join us for a delightful evening with:

      Marus Eaton

Marcus Eaton has an extensive touring history and having had his own band, Marcus Eaton Trio, he now primarily performs solo. Marcus has opened for artists such as Bob Dylan and Dave Matthews, Nils Lofgren, Dr John and Rodrigo Y Gabriela. A very busy couple of years which included gigs in LA with Seal and Flea, solo tours across Europe and scoring the soundtrack to the acclaimed David Crosby documentary ‘Remember My Name’ have seen Marcus working at the peak of his creativity, the end result of which is the release of this brand new record.

Brought up in the wilds of Idaho, the son of songwriter Steve Eaton and grandson of professional opera singers, Marcus grew up immersed in music. He began performing professionally in bars and clubs long before he was legally old enough to patronize them and at the age of just 21, following two independently released albums, he and his band The Lobby caught the attention of MCA/Universal and recorded The Day the World Awoke (2003), reviewed as ‘one of the best examples of intelligent acoustic rock in a long time’.

In 2011, Marcus was invited by David Crosby and his son James Raymond to play guitar on tunes that were the foundations of 'Croz' which would become, in 2014, Crosby’s first solo album in over twenty years. Throughout a near two-year recording process, a kindred musical collaboration evolved between Marcus, Raymond and Crosby with Marcus not only featuring prominently as a guitarist along with an ensemble of legendary Crosby band mates, but also co-writing a number of songs and singing harmonies with arguably one of the best harmonizers in rock music. In early 2014, Marcus joined Crosby’s band for a sold-out US tour that included stops at legendary institutions such as The Troubadour and San Francisco's Great American Music Hall as well as an appearance on TV's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. When asked about working with Marcus, Crosby said, “He's a really brilliant writer. Brilliant musically. Brilliant lyrically. And he just plays guitar like God on a good day.”

In addition to performing solo, with The Lobby and the Trio, Marcus' extensive touring history includes opening shows for Bob Dylan and Dave Matthews, Nils Lofgren, Dr John and Rodrigo Y Gabriela.

      Plus Special Guest Matt Thomas

Matt Thomas has won 1st place in both contemporary thumbpicking and open style at the "Home of The Legends International Thumbpicking Competition". He has also been inducted into the Thumbpickers Hall-of-Fame and shared the stage with several national touring acts such as Tommy Emmanuel, Stephen Bennett, Gareth Pearson and Daniel Champagne.

With over a decade of touring and competitions across the world, Matt Thomas has crafted one of the biggest guitar sounds in the industry today! With mind blowing techniques and deep songwriting, Thomas takes the audience on a wild ride of melodic and theatrical highlights that transports listeners to an imaginary world. With stories files with scientific knowledge and wonder, he not only brings listeners a world-class performance... but also educates and challenges our everyday patterns in life.

Thomas uses some of the most complex technology to bring the audience along the journey with him, including 4 individual pick-ups that are sent to a psychedelic array of pedals to achieve a larger-than-life sound. Seeming like a mad-scientist, Thomas combines technological wizardry and a plethora of guitar techniques such as Percussion, Flamenco, Classical, Bluegrass, Jazz, Swing, Blues, and Acoustic Rock to sound like a complete full band.
